Product Details/SpecificationsRecording label: Metropolis Records EAN: 0782388057622Binding: Audio CDRelease Date: 2009-03-10Universal product code (UPC): 782388057622Number of discs: 1Product Description Eisbrecher (Icebreaker) forge delicately brutal music without compromise. Heavy industrial guitar, driving electro, and distinctive vocals are clothed in beats both modern and danceable. The songs on "Sunde" are more emotional and fragile than on previous releases, but also more powerful and catchy. This record stormed to #1 on the German alternative charts.
AWESOME!!!Review Date: 2010-01-03 Rating: 10 out of 10Quite simply, "Sunde" is awesome. Just like Eisbrechers last release, "Antikorper", this latest CD contains driving songs with an ethereal landscapes. When you listen to Eisbrecher at night, you feel like your in another world. It is therapeutic for me.
The songs are danceable, but have depth and sincerity. If you enjoy music acts like Type O Negative, Depeche Mode, Sisters Of Mercy, and Siouxise, then you will love Eisbrecher. Bottom line: AMERICA GET INTO EISBRECHER!
ReviewsAwesome album!!!Better than RAMMSTEIN this year.Review Date: 2009-11-06 Rating: 10 out of 10This one is a must have.
Every song on this album is a killer.
It definetly outperforms RAMMSTEIN this year.
A must have for every German industrial metal music fan.
Worth every penny.Absolutely rocks!Review Date: 2009-09-24 Rating: 10 out of 10I don't know German - nor do I plan on learning it in the near future - but I do know this: As musicians, Eisbrecher is one of the most talented bands I've ever heard.
I'm one of those rare people who could care less about the lyrics - I don't even listen for them. Sure, you could say that's an insult to the musicians, but as long as I'm paying for the product and enjoying it, who's to argue?
It's about the music - pure, pulse-pounding, bass-thumping - when my ears hear it, I know it's true and it's real. This is now, by far, my favorite band. Trust me when I say, I've heard a lot of music in my time (I'm 44). Very seldom do I get chills from a specific CD, but Sunde delivers and is a very strong representation of this band.Wonderful AlbumReview Date: 2009-05-30 Rating: 10 out of 10Eisbrecher is one of my favorite bands, and I have been waiting for the US version of this album to come out. I was definitely not disappointed.
The best tracks are, in my opinion, the title track ("Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein?") along with "1000 Flammen" and "This is Deutsch" (which is hilarious if you speak German, as it is arguably a parody of the gratuitous use of the language by people who don't speak it). I also liked the remixes, as they were the reason I was holding out for the American version of the album.
This is a must-have for those who like NDH or German metal in general, and something that people who only know of Rammstein can use to broaden their horizons a little. This is Deutsch!!!Review Date: 2009-04-28 Rating: 10 out of 10Having already bought the Euro version of this cd back in September of '08 (and listening to it frequently), I can honestly say that this is not an album that you will grow tired of. The remixes and new track "Blut und Tranen" alone made it well worth the purchase price for me. I especially ejoyed the remix for "Alkohol". Eisbrecher never dissapoints. They keep getting better and heavier with each album. If you are a fan of NDH music or German metal in general, you should definitely consider picking this up. Disc 1 Tracks: 1.
